You’ve carved out a space for yourself in the hallowed halls of Savile Row not just as a tailor, but as a trailblazer. What was it like entering this traditionally male stronghold, and how did you shift the narrative to make room for your own voice, vision, and feminine edge?
My intention was never to march in and shake things up—I simply followed what felt natural to me. But from the start, clients noticed something different. They’d say things like, “You’re not like any other tailor I’ve met,” and I began to realise that being different was actually my greatest strength. It wasn’t just the fact that I was a woman in a very male-dominated space—it was the energy I brought, the intuitive advice I offered, and the way I designed. There was something magnetic in the mix of experience, aesthetic, and an approach that made the whole process enjoyable rather than intimidating. Clients were drawn in not just by the names I’d dressed, but by the way I understood how to bring out their personality through style. So while I never set out to rewrite the rules, the experience I offered naturally stood apart and in doing so, quietly shifted the narrative. I didn’t try to compete with traditional tailoring. I created my own lane where clients feel seen, styled, and confident from the inside out.
Your Ultimate Wardrobe Service offers a concierge-level style experience for men. What inspired this innovative approach, and how do you think it reflects the way modern professionals want to live and dress today?
The Ultimate Wardrobe came from a very real conversation I had with a client—he said, “Alexandra, I don’t want to think about clothes. I just want to open my wardrobe and know everything works.” That was the lightbulb moment. Today’s successful man is juggling a million things—career, travel, family, health. He doesn’t want to spend his time stressing over outfits or wandering around shops. He wants a trusted expert to handle it all, with precision, flair, and discretion. So that’s exactly what I created. My Ultimate Wardrobe service is like having a personal style director on speed dial—designing a wardrobe that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle and elevates every part of your life. It’s luxury made practical, stylish made simple.
Tailoring is an art steeped in tradition, yet your designs feel fresh, bold, and contemporary. How do you balance classic craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic in your work?
Tailoring is one of the last true crafts—it’s detailed, deliberate, and deeply rooted in tradition. But I’ve always believed that tradition is just the starting point. My job is to respect the rules, then bend them beautifully. I blend the structure and skill of classic tailoring with modern design details that bring it to life. Think Bond meets Beckham. The cut is precise, but the fabric is unexpected. The fit is immaculate, but the vibe is easy, current, and cool. My clients want to look sharp, but not stiff—they want timeless pieces with a twist. And that’s what I give them: refined, masculine elegance with a modern edge.
You often speak about helping men feel their most confident selves. Beyond the fabric and fit, what role do you believe style plays in shaping identity, self-esteem, and even success?
There’s nothing quite like seeing a client look at himself in the mirror after trying on a bespoke piece for the first time. His posture changes. His face lights up. That’s the moment I live for. Because personal style isn’t just surface-level—it’s psychological. When a man wears something that reflects who he truly is, something that gets him and elevates him, it affects how he moves through the world. It builds confidence, clarity, and charisma. I see style as a language—and when it’s spoken well, it says “I’ve arrived” without needing to say a word.
From your bespoke Signature Collection to your podcast, you’ve built an entire lifestyle brand around dressing well. What does personal style mean to you and how do you define “looking sh*t hot,” as your podcast so cheekily suggests?
Style doesn’t end with a great suit—it starts there. What I create is a complete ecosystem: from your Monday boardroom presence to your Saturday casual brunch look, it’s all part of a cohesive identity. That’s why I expanded beyond traditional tailoring, offering capsule wardrobes, seasonal collections, personal styling, and even a podcast—because style is about how you live, not just what you wear. And yes, “looking sh*t hot” is part of the goal! It’s cheeky, but it captures something true: style should feel exciting, magnetic, and like your best self on your best day—every single day.
What are some of the most surprising things you’ve learned about men through the process of designing their wardrobes and are there any common insecurities or misconceptions you find yourself regularly helping clients navigate?
One of the most surprising things I’ve learned is how unsure many men feel about style—and how much they appreciate having someone they trust to guide them through it. Even the most outwardly confident men can feel overwhelmed by choice, unsure what suits them, or afraid of making a fashion misstep. There’s often a fear of overdoing it, or getting it wrong. I create a safe, supportive space where they can explore their identity through clothing—without judgment or pressure. I simplify the process, inject a bit of fun, and take them on a journey that ends with them feeling not just better dressed, but more assured and aligned. It’s never just about clothes—it’s about how they want to show up in the world.
As one of the few women designing exclusively for men, how do you think your perspective differs and why do you think that matters in the world of bespoke fashion?
Being a woman designing exclusively for men is a huge part of what makes my work so different—and so effective. I approach design with empathy, intuition, and a deep attention to detail. I don’t just think about how a garment fits—I think about how it feels to wear it. What energy does it give off? What message does it send? I’m reading between the lines, taking in who the client is and what he wants to project. Men often say they feel more relaxed and confident working with me, because they know I’m here to elevate them, not judge them. My feminine perspective brings a sense of refinement and emotional intelligence that’s often missing in traditional menswear. It’s a subtle but powerful difference—and one my clients instantly recognise.
